Introduction to Stained Glass Lead Techniques This comprehensive 8 week class is dedicated to the fine art of working with lead came. Learn the differences between lead profiles and sizes, soldering techniques, mitering, English cutting and more! This class will give you the professional instruction and opportunity to improve all your basic techniques including glass cutting and understanding glass styles and manufacturers. We will complete several projects throughout the course that include several small gift items, a bent-panel leaded glass lampshade, a leaded, beveled glass window panel and a review of the most important soldering techniques for copper foil. This class is a "must have" for anyone who wants their artwork to look as professional as possible! |
Intermediate Stained Glass in Foil
The course is 5 weeks.
Class fee is $95 plus tools and supplies.
Students will learn to create their own mirror pattern, work with mirrored glass, and learn about double glazing techniques. The second project is a wonderful stained glass marblescope complete with decorative soldering. Both these projects are truly one of a kind because the students have plenty of artistic discretion.
Intermediate Stained Glass in Leaded, Beveled and Foil Combination
The course is 6 weeks.
Class fee is $95 plus tools and supplies.
Advanced Stained Glass
The course is 5 weeks.
Class fee is $125 plus tools and supplies.
This class is an opportunity to learn and utilize all styles of stained glass construction. This project will be a study in plotting out a beveled glass center panel with a foiled background, a beveled and leaded glass border with a zinc frame. We will continue to work on improved glass cutting techniques and short-cuts, and better soldering on all applications! This is a great chance to bring yourself up to date with today’s procedures.
